Murray Van der Veer is the director of Moving Words and Pictures. He is a seasoned videographer and photographer with over 30 years of experience. He has collaborated with renowned brands such as Sydney Hilton, Telstra, and Lexus. Prestigious institutions like the Moran Prize and the National Portrait Gallery have also recognised his work.

Murray’s captivating content has graced billboards, magazines, television screens, and prominent online platforms. His video productions have gained national broadcast exposure and were featured at the World Parks Congress Opening Ceremony in Sydney Olympic Park in 2014.

Murray also shares his expertise as a Course Designer and Instructor at the Australian Centre of Photography. He has organised Landscape Photography workshops with the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, demonstrating his commitment to environmental stewardship.

Murray’s contributions extend to academia, where he provides production support for significant film projects at Macquarie University. His versatility shines through as he takes on various roles, including cinematography, editing, and aerial filming via drones. He has screen credits in productions like “Ablaze”, “ASIO Makes A Movie”, “The Skin of Others”, and “The Bystander Story” to name a few.

 With a comprehensive skill set spanning Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere-Pro and After Effects, Murray combines technical prowess with artistic vision to deliver outstanding results in every project he undertakes.
